That elusive baby smile....

It is so funny, when small babies first start to smile. It is the sweetest thing in the world, yet if you blink, you'll miss it! I've tried to get a few shots of Aidan smiling, and of course he is usually too fast for me! This is the best I can do.

Here he is, right before he starts to give it up and smile at Mommy!

There's nothing worse...

... than a sick baby! Poor Aidan has been battling a cold all week now, and it is really wearing him out. Lil' guy slept most of the night last night, hasn't been eating a whole lot, and just generally looks pouty and miserable! He probably would like to never see the horrible blue snot-sucker ever again, his poor nose is still red. Feel better soon, my sweet baby boy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is Valentine's day! Ava took "treats" to her class that Mommy put together for her friends - little heart bags with Play-Doh, lollipops, and candy hearts. We shared a yummy strawberry cake for dessert for the occasion. And Daddy brought home red roses for Mommy - they are beautiful! What a great day to be around those that you love, and share a sweet treat too!

Way to Grow!

Aidan had his one-month well baby checkup today at the pediatrician's office. He is growing so well! He is now 9lbs, 3oz, up from 6lbs, 9oz at birth! He measured in at 20 3/4 inches long. He is battling a little bit of a cold and stuffy nose right now, but otherwise "he looks perfect" they say. Hard to believe our little guy is a whole month old already!

Toddler times...

We had a bunch of friends over for a Superbowl party on sunday - GO Giants!!

Ava had a great time entertaining her friends. Considering it was her "home turf" she did get a little bossy... This is Ava telling Dominic what to do, in a not so nice way! (And he is a year younger than she is!)

However, she did finally play nicely. This is her sharing her tricycle with her best buddy Avery!

Big sister!

Ava is adjusting well to her newest family member in the house. She loves her little brother, even though he isn't very exciting yet! Her favorite part of it all is when I bring Aidan with me to school to pick her up - she loves showing all her friends "My Baby Aidan"!
